Holi

It is arrival of blossoming spring,
Love, it brings
and colours, we fling!

It begins with holy flame
that kisses the sky.

As prayers rise, the spirits fly high!
It lasts for a night and a day,
with laughter and joy in bright array!

it tells another tale of victory
from ancient history
Good always wins over evil
proved by deeds, not a friction novel!

Prahlad was a devotee of God and used to pray,
But Hiranyakashyapu, the father, had heart of grey!

To save little Prahlad
Lord appeared, in fearsome form,and Vanquished evil pride,
which grew like a storm
