इस बार चन्द्रमा का दक्षिणी ध्रुव क्यू चुना गया ? उसका एक कारण है। चन्द्रमा का दक्षिणी ध्रुव सूर्य के सामने नहीं है, उस तरफ कभी सूर्य का प्रकाश नहीं पड़ा।  तो वैज्ञानिकों का मानना है कि चन्द्रमा के दक्षिणी ध्रुव पर पानी मिलने की सम्भावना है। 

why South Pole of Moon?

The south pole of the Moon holds special promise in the search for water ice. The surface area that remains in permanent shadow there is huge, The sun never shines on this part of Moon and scientists say it means there is a possibility of water in these areas.

that's the reason its important event in space mission.
